MISSION

The mission of the HTIAA Bastrop County Chapter Alumni is to actively engage, support, and connect our diverse and accomplished community of graduates. Grounded in the principles of excellence, diversity, and entrepreneurship instilled by our alma mater, we are dedicated to fostering lifelong relationships, professional growth, and social impact. Our mission is to contribute to the continued success and prominence of Huston-Tillotson University by leveraging our collective knowledge, experiences, and resources. Through mentorship, networking, and philanthropy, we aim to empower current students, promote a culture of excellence, and advance the mission of our beloved university in building leaders and innovators for a connected and inclusive world.

WHAT WE DO

Community Building: We provide a platform for alumni and friends of the association to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships. Through networking events, social gatherings, and online platforms, we create opportunities for meaningful connections.
Professional Development: We are committed to supporting the professional growth of our alumni. Whether through mentorship programs, career resources, or industry-specific events, we strive to empower our members to achieve their full potential.
Philanthropy and Giving Back: Giving back is at the heart of our chapter. We actively engage in philanthropic activities and community service projects, both locally and in collaboration with the university, to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

STRATEGIC PLAN

Alumni Membership – Build and increase a strong membership base.
Student Scholarships – Enhance the scholarship process and increase money for scholarships.
Student Recruitment – Create programs and events to support the student body.
University Relations – Enhance the chapter's relationship with the University.
